Dr. Jason Mensah is board certified in general psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry and addiction medicine. He sees patients from adolescents (12 and older) to older adults for medication management of a broad range of mental disorders, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, major depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, panic disorders, social anxiety, general anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and substance abuse issues.
Dr. Mensah is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey. He received a BA in Biology from the Richard Stockton College of NJ. He then attended Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in which he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare. Dr. Mensah completed four years of general psychiatry training at Indiana University.
Prior to founding Beaumont Psychiatric Clinic in Beaumont, TX. Dr. Mensah has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and correctional behavioral health settings. Dr. Mensah has also worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings.
The Beaumont Psychiatric Clinic believes in an integrative approach to patient care in which the intelligence of the mind, body and soul are intricately linked in a symbiotic relationship with each part affecting the whole. In addition to prescribing medication we recommend nutraceuticals and holistic practices when clinically appropriate.
Outside of medical practice, Dr. Mensah enjoys spending time with his family, watching science fiction films and working on personal development.
